Yogey Golf ("we," "us," or "our") operates the mobile application Yogey Golf (the "App") and the website https://www.yogeygolf.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our App or Site.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use Yogey Golf:
- Account and Profile Information: Name, email address, username, account ID, profile photo, handicap, golf bag, and practice preferences
- Golf Activity: Games, practice sessions, shots, scores, progress, baseline assessments, Skill Pulse metrics, practice plans, and multiplayer activity
- Usage and Diagnostic Data: App interactions, feature usage, notification interactions, app and device information, crash reports, and performance data
- Notification Data: Push tokens, notification preferences, permission status, time zone, locale, and delivery information when notifications are enabled
- Website and Support Data: Limited Site usage and performance data, plus information you provide when contacting support
Camera and photo-library access are optional and permission-gated. If you choose to add a profile photo, the App may use the camera to take it or the photo library to let you select one. The App may also use the camera, if you choose, for optional AR putting-distance setup helpers in the App. During AR setup, the live camera feed is processed on your device to place distance guides on the putting green. Camera frames from AR setup are not stored, uploaded, or used for analytics or advertising. The App may also support optional range-view features that place calculated golf target windows over a live range view or, in a future release, let you take a photo of your driving range and overlay the target aim direction and distances over it to create a visual reference.
For these features, Yogey Golf does not request access to your precise location, contacts, or microphone.
2. How We Use Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain your account and game progress
- Personalize Skill Pulse insights, practice plans, and reminders
- Provide multiplayer, leaderboard, and sharing features
- Send notifications you have enabled, such as challenges, practice reminders, and product updates
- Improve app functionality, reliability, and performance
- Respond to support requests
We do not sell your personal information, use third-party advertising networks, or track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising.
3. Notifications and Device Permissions
Push notifications are optional. You can manage notification categories and quiet hours from your profile in the App, or disable notifications in your device settings. Marketing notifications are disabled by default.
Camera and photo-library access are also optional and permission-gated. Camera access may be used when you choose to take a profile photo, for optional AR putting-distance setup helpers in the App, and for optional range-view features when available. During AR putting-distance setup, the live camera feed is processed on your device to place distance guides on the putting green. Camera frames from AR putting-distance setup are not stored, uploaded, or used for analytics or advertising. Photo-library access remains available for selecting a profile photo. You can deny or later revoke either permission in your device settings.
4. Analytics and Service Providers
We use the following providers to operate and improve Yogey Golf:
- Supabase for database and backend services
- Clerk for authentication and account management
- PostHog for product analytics
- Sentry for crash and performance diagnostics
- Expo and Apple for app services and push notification delivery
- Vercel for Site hosting, analytics, and performance monitoring
PostHog analytics may be associated with your Yogey Golf account. Session replay, PostHog error tracking, and location enrichment are disabled.
5. Data Storage and Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
6. Data Retention and Your Choices
We retain information as needed to provide Yogey Golf and meet legal, security, and operational requirements. You can update certain profile and notification settings in the App and delete your account from the profile screen.
